I made this for my Mom @doloresstorch7792 to display on the outside of her house - she lives in La Quinta, Ca and wants a few desert themed wood art pieces to display on her outdoor patios. The art piece started out simpler than it ended up evolving into. At first I was just going to make one turtle. But I enjoyed the process of making the first one so much that I wanted to make another one. Then after the turtles were made I built out the art piece from there using several different clip art images I printed off of google for inspiration and ideas.
